LAST MEETING BEFORE TURKEY DAY

Which really isn’t that significant, given that we don’t miss any Mondays.  BUT – meeting tonight.  If you haven’t paid dues and uniform orders yet, you’re running dangerously close to having to wear my old spandex for road season.  Come to the meeting and pay up.  We’re also talking more about jacket orders.  Spinning right after the meeting.

UPDATE: Jacket samples are in! If you want one of these beasts COME TO THE MEETING TONIGHT!

Meeting Tonight – BE THERE

Dom Caiazzo
Dom Caiazzo

Hey Guys,
There’s an important, exiting, ground breaking cycling meeting tonight in 202 Forsyth at 8:00PM.  We’re deep in the heart of November at this point, which means jersey orders, sponsorship applications, dues collection, and fundraising opportunities.  There’s a lot to be done in the next few weeks before finals, so if you plan on biking with us in the future, makes sure you attend these meetings!!

Tonight we will be collecting dues and putting together our jersey order simultaneously.  If you don’t pay dues ($120), you will not be able to put an order in for a jersey.  Payment must be in the form of cash, check, or husky bucks (yes, we can really use husky bucks).  If you’ve never had a jersey of your own before and don’t know what size you need, check out Verge’s sizing guide at http://www.vergesport.com/sizing, or let me know and I can bring some different sizes for you to try.

If you can’t make the meeting tonight for some reason, let me know via email before the meeting, with a valid excuse (I’ll be the sole judge of the validity of your excuse, and I am not kind).

I’ll see all you cats tonight,
Ron

P.S. – It’s nice out, so lets ride bikes after the meeting or something.

FUN Meeting Tonight!

Attention – for lack of interesting things to talk about besides Brian Coate’s cyclocross debut and dues, we will be hosting the meeting at my apartment tonight at 8.  Bring some $ if you want beverages and pizza.  12 Wensley St. #2 – buzzer is broken.  Call me at seven oh three 489 two oh three four.

But seriously, dues.  In the next couple of weeks.  If you want a jersey/shorts and you want to race in the next year, start thinking about them.

Also – anyone interested in going to Northampton to race CX this weekend should send me some kind of communication.

- Hughes

MEETING TONIGHT

That’s right.  WE’RE HAVING A MEETING.  8PM 202 Forsyth.  We’ll talk about Easterns and how great it was, the inability of our endurance MTB riders to actually finish a race, dues/when you should pay them, and riding bikes this week.  Then we’ll throw things at Dom and tell him to go back to his lair in Allston.  WHO’S IN?  I am.

Meeting Tonight 8PM –

Hey Everybody,

We’ll be meeting tonight at 8:00PM in room 202 Forsyth.  We’ve got some race coverage to discuss from the super successful Wild Western Mass Weekend.  More importatnly we’ll be working out details for this weekend’s upcoming race at Highland Mountain in NH.  This is the perfect race for anyone who has ever thought about racing bikes but was unsure of their ability or just was too afraid to hang out with a bunch of mountain bikers for 3 days straight.  We’ll have a van doing day trips for the short 90 minute drive to NH both days, so if you only want to do one event or can’t commit the whole weekend, you’ve got no excuse not to come.  Plus we’re not hosting this week, so it’ll be all riding, all fun, all day.
Also, I’m updating our roster tonight, and I need some vital personal details (mostly NU ID #) from any new riders who think they’ll be riding with us in the future, so make sure you’re at the meeting.

COME TO THE MEETING!!

Lehigh Sign-ups!

Hey Guys,

Sign-ups for Lehigh’s Mountaintop Classic race are now on the forum under Race Information.  The picture above is us standing in the rain at lehigh 2 years ago, but the good news this year is 0% chance of rain both days with temps in the low 70′s.  Couldn’t ask for a better weekend.  Lehigh alsways does a great job hosting races and their trails are always awesome.  Make sure to post up if you want to join us!  If you are haing trouble finding the “race infomation” email me, because you probably don’t have access yet.

MOUNTAIN SEASON!!!

Hey guys! Mountain season is upon us!  This weekend is our first race at Highland Mountain in New Hampshire.  Weather looks to be top notch, leaving the courses nice and tacky for the race with the sun shining down on us.  Vans will be leaving from Chicken Lou’s at 5:30 PM on Friday for a short drive up to Highland.  We plan on camping both nights, but we’ll have a hotel room in case we need showers or people would rather have a bed.  We’ll have tent space for everyone, so just bring a pillow and sleeping bag.  If you want to camp but don’t have a sleeping bag, just contact me and I can loan you one.  If anyone doesn’t have Friday classes and would like to come up early with us to do some set up and preride the courses, we have a crew going up on Friday morning as well.  Post up on the race information page what races you’d like to do and when you can leave.  Any questions or concerns, just direct them to me.

If you can’t see the “Race Information” page, email me!!!

NU Cycling Dig Days!

Mountain Bike season is nearly upon us, and with two races to host this year NU Cycling needs YOUR HELP.  We need to build us a nice slalom course at Holiday farms for our Jiminy race.  We’ll be trecking out to western Mass the next two weekends for some good old fashioned camping and digging.  We’ll be there Friday through Sunday, and you can come for any or all days.  We’ll work out carpooling in the forum under the “Dig Days” post.  If you have any questions about what is involved or what you need, just let me know.  Everyone is highly encouraged to go, to make our race as radical as possible.  There will also be time to check out the fresh XC course if you come out and help.  SEE YOU ALL THERE!

Mark Your Calendars!

Hello NU Cycling faithful.  This year we will be hosting not one, but TWO races for the Mountain season.  We’ll be kicking off the season right with a race on September 10th & 11th at Highland Mountain Bike Park.  Two short weeks later we’ll be hosting at Jiminy Peak, bringing back a classic venue to the season.  We need help from the whole team (and maybe some alumni and friends) to make these events run smoothly.  That is why I am asking all of you, in JULY, to mark your calendars for these weekends, and keep them free.  We always have a boatload of fun hosting races, and these two weekends should be a rad time.  We’ll keep you updated as all the exciting details unfold, but for now, just remember:
SEPTEMBER 10th/11th
SEPTEMBER 24th/25th

All for now!
