NEU’s Road Cycling Team is continually getting stronger.  The team has grown from relative obscurity as recently as a few years ago to sending 3 of our riders to collegiate Nationals in Madison, WI in 2010.  Whether road cycling is your sport, a means of training for other disciples of bike racing, or off-season training for another sport, we welcome you.  As a member of the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference, we travel as far south as Delaware and as far north as Vermont, but typically drive 3-5 hours to races.  Our season runs nine weeks, starting the beginning of March and ending in late April.  The typical race weekend has three events – a road race, a time trial, and a criterium.  Multiple categories, including an Intro class, ensure that you race with riders of your skill level, from beginner to professional.  To train, the team runs group rides leaving from the Northeastern area several times a week, as well as spinning in Squashbusters in the off-season.  All of this is discussed in more detail in the team forum – check it out and come to a meeting to learn more.
